Welcome to the 27th Annual Festival of Ice!

This year’s theme, “Christmas Around the World,” invites you to experience the magic of global holiday traditions. As you explore, you’ll find stunning ice sculptures that showcase famous landmarks and iconic figures from various countries, while festive decorations highlight traditional attire and national flags from around the world. We hope you enjoy the artistry, atmosphere, and spirit of unity that make this event so special. Thank you for celebrating with us and may your holiday season be bright and joyful!

This transformation into holiday magic would not be possible without the First Night State College Ice Sculptors led by Ernie DiMartino of DiMartino Ice. These talented ice carvers will be carving large ice block creations right before your eyes.

Always held on Thursday and Friday evenings the week after Thanksgiving, this hometown holiday tradition, brought to you by the Juniata River Valley Visitors Bureau and its team of volunteers, is the perfect place to celebrate the joy of the season and have fun with your friends, family and loved ones.

Holiday Word Scramble Scavenger Hunt

Join the fun during the Festival of Ice with our “Holiday World Scramble” scavenger hunt! Explore the windows of participating downtown businesses, where you’ll find a special letter displayed in each window. Collect all the letters as you make your way through town, then unscramble them to form a holiday-themed word. Once you’ve figured it out, submit your answer for a chance to win exciting prizes from local businesses!

Entry forms will be available on the front porch of the Historic Courthouse. A list of all word scramble locations is on the entry form. The contest runs from Thursday, Dec. 5 through Sunday, Dec. 8. Completed forms must be returned to the mailbox on the porch of the Historic Courthouse by Monday at 9 a.m.
